UHS Announces Two Recent Hirings

St. Petersburg-based University Housing Services (UHS), Inc., announced today two recent hirings: Robert Tharpe as Vice President and Kelly Foster as Marketing & Business Development Director.Tharpe has nearly 20 years of construction experience, gained mostly by working for top general contracting firms in the country. He has been responsible for managing complex institutional projects, including phased turn-over, competitive bid, construction management at-risk and design/build delivery methods totaling over $350 million. Most recently Tharpe was a Group Vice President of the Government and Education Sector for Beers Construction Company in Atlanta and Senior Project Manager for Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors, also in Atlanta. Tharpe, who holds a BA from the University of Georgia and an MS in Construction Management from Colorado State University, is working out of UHS’s Atlanta office and is directly responsible for the seamless integration of college and university on-campus development projects.
Foster has 15 years of marketing experience for various industries, including construction, architectural, engineering and environmental. Most recently she was an independent marketing consultant for architectural/engineering and construction firms and Marketing Communications Manager for GLE in Tampa. She holds a BA from the University of South Florida and an MA in Management from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore. She is based in UHS’s St. Petersburg office.
